Step-by-Step Instructions

Log in to your account here:

Step 1

Once logged in to your account, head to the Manage Students page by clicking your name (or the menu icon on smaller screens) in the top right corner of the page (see below).

Step 2

After landing on the Manage Students page, you will see three tabs: My Classes, My Students, and Invite. In the My Classes tab, you will see a list of any existing classes. Click the New Class button to create a new class for your individual student.

Step 3

Enter a name and optional description for your new class. Next, select a color for your class and then click the Save button.

Step 4

After saving your class, you will land on a new class page (e.g., Joey Yumi). You now have the option to add your student to that class. Select the Add Students button to move the student into your class.

Step 5

A list of all students in your account will appear for you to select and add to your class. Click the box next to the student’s name you want to have in that class (e.g., Joey Yumi). Then click the Save button.

Please note: Pending students who have not yet accepted their invitation or set up their account can also be added to your class. Once they set up their account, they will automatically join that class.

Step 6

You will now see the selected student under the class you created. Click My Classes to go back to your list of classes and see your new class.

Step 7

Your new class is now visible under My Classes (in alphabetical order). You can click on the class to make any adjustments (add/remove students or edit the class name/description/color).

Step 8

Head to the Lessons page to select a digital lesson to assign as homework.

Step 9

Select the digital filter to focus on the lesson sections that contain digital tasks and activities. Select a lesson section to view the digital lessons available for homework (e.g., Famous People).

Step 10

After you enter a lesson section with the digital filter selected, the lessons inside that section will filter by digital also. Select a lesson to view the digital tasks available (e.g., Elon Musk).

Step 11

On the lesson show page, you will see two tab options. The Print tab gives you the option to open that lesson as a PDF (Teacher or Student). The Digital tab allows you to view the digital tasks associated with that lesson, start a digital session, or assign homework.

When you click the Digital tab, you will see two lists: a list of your classes and a list of tasks. Scroll down your class list and select the class that you would like to launch a session with.

Step 12

Select the Manage Homework button to assign tasks to your student(s) as homework.

Step 13

On the Manage Homework page, you will see a list of tasks that are available to assign as homework. Click the due date box next to the task name to assign a date and time for each homework task you’d like to send to your student.

When you have finished selecting dates for the homework tasks, click one of the Save buttons — either the one above or the one below the task list.

A confirmation pop-up window will appear. After reviewing it, click Save to send the homework to your student.

A final reminder pop-up window will appear to confirm the homework has been sent to your student. Click Close.
