How to Manage Pending Sub-Accounts

If you are the administrator for a group account with ESL Library and want to view the pending invitations sent to your teachers, follow the steps below to ensure teachers can properly connect to your group.


Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Log in to your account here:

Once logged in to your administrator account, click on "My Account" underneath your name in the top right corner (see below).

Step 3

On your account page, your account information (below your profile information) will show you the number of available licenses. On the right, you will see the "Manage Teachers" box if you have purchased a multi-teacher license. Please ensure the number of licenses is correct, and then click "Manage Teachers" to be taken to a new page.

Note: The number of licenses includes your administrator account. For example, if you have purchased 3 licenses, the number in your account information will say "4*."

Step 4

After landing on the Manage Teachers page, you will see a list of active, connected teachers. Below this is the "Pending Teachers" list, where you will see all the invitations that have not yet been accepted. These teachers will remain pending until they accept the invitation or are manually connected to your group.

Administrators can manage their pending teachers by resending the email invitation (envelope icon) or deleting the invitation (trash bin icon). 

Step 5

After an invitation is sent, we recommend that administrators contact each teacher to let them know they should look out for this invitation email (and to check their Spam folders in case it lands there). The email that pending teachers receive has a "Get Started" button, which will prompt them to create their sub-account or log in with an existing account.


Missing Invitation Email

If teachers do not receive the invitation email within a few minutes, please follow the steps below.

Step 6

If any of your teachers do not receive the email invitation, scroll down on the Manage Teachers page (accessed through your account page). You will find a button to create an invitation code at the bottom of the page. 

Step 7

Click the "Create Invite Code" button and a code will appear that remains valid for 7 days.

Step 8

Send your teachers the link: https://esllibrary.com/groups, where they can enter their email address and the invitation code to join the group.

Please note: Teachers will only be able to join your group if an invitation has been sent to the corresponding email address.

Step 9

After hitting the "Submit" button, pending teachers will land on a form to either log in with an existing account or set up a new account. Teachers who have an active or expired account can simply click the "Log In to Connect Your Account" button.

If teachers do not have an account (active or expired), they can enter their details in the Sign Up form and click the "Activate My Account" button. 

Step 10

After either logging in or activating a new account, teachers will land on a "Thank You" page and will have full access to ESL Library. 

(Reminder for administrators: When a teacher has properly connected to the group, their sub-account will move from the "Pending Teachers" list to the "Active Teachers" list on your Manage Teachers page).
