How to Choose or Change Your Level Preference

A great way to customize your search for lessons on ESL Library is to set your level preference.

All ESL Library lessons display generic levels used by teachers worldwide (i.e., pre-beginner to advanced levels). You are also able to set your level preference to display CLB (Canadian Language Benchmarks) and CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) levels.

The CEFR and CLB equivalencies on ESL Library are based on our in-house scale and are subject to change. Our Equivalency Scale can also be used by teachers who may recognize other levels or standardized tests.
