How to Create Folders
ESL Library's folders tool is a fantastic option for organizing the lessons you would like to save for future use. With all the materials on ESL Library, saving lessons to your own custom folders will help you plan and save time.
Follow the steps below to locate and use the folders tool.
Log in to your account here:
When you land on our main Lesson Categories page, you can start browsing the categories to find one that is suitable for your class. Click on any of the lesson categories (e.g., English at Work).
Once you're inside a lesson category, you will notice that each lesson has a small black folder icon beneath it. Clicking the icon allows you to save that lesson to a particular folder.
Clicking the folder icon will bring up a box with a list of your existing folders. Check the boxes to add content or uncheck to remove content from your folder(s). Choose New Folder to create a new folder. If you do not have any existing folders, the only option will be to create a new folder by entering a folder name. Click the Save button to complete the action.
If you click into any lesson, blog post, or resource, you can also save it to your folder(s) from the preview page by clicking the folder icon in the top right corner.
To access your folders, click Class Prep in the navigation bar on the top of any page and then select My Folders from the drop-down menu.
Once on the My Folders page, you can click the folder title to view the content inside each folder. To create another folder, click on the New Folder button. You can also delete folders or edit the name and description of your folders from this page by clicking on the More (...) menu.
After clicking into a folder (by clicking on the folder title from the My Folders page), you can also add any lesson/blog post/resource to another folder by clicking on the More menu (...) and selecting Save to... .
Check the box next to the other folder title(s) you wish to add the lesson/blog post/resource to, or create a new folder using the New Folder button. You can also uncheck the box to remove the lesson/blog post/resource from that folder. Click Save to complete the action.
